CCCK-8 Cross Country Running Club

Welcome back to CCCK-8!

Join your friends at Coal Creek Canyon K-8 in the Cross-Country Running Club, broken into two groups for Grades 1-4 and 5-8. Runners will learn to improve their running technique, learn safe running habits, and play interactive games suitable for different age groups. The focus is on having fun, competing against individual abilities, improving personal skills, being an encouraging teammate, making new friends, and promoting a healthy lifestyle.

We are invited to attend fall meets at other schools (schedule will be announced after Aug. 30), and for the first time, CCCK-8 will host other JeffCo Elementary Schools for a meet in the canyon on Tuesday, Oct. 10. This is an exciting opportunity to show off our mountain school and new turf!

Our instructor, Christine Neff of Elevate Conditioning, is a Health Educator and an IYCA certified Youth Fitness Specialist and Nutrition Specialist. The IYCA believes that developmentally-sound, fun and goal-oriented exposure to fitness and sport is a necessary building block in progressing through the formative years into adulthood.
