Classroom Volunteers

We cannot always build the future for our youth, but we can build our youth for the future. ~Franklin Delano Roosevelt

Did you know that when parents and community members are involved in the school students generally earn higher grades, score better on tests, adapt more easily to school, and graduate at a higher rate? What better reasons can there be to volunteer today?

Volunteers are an integral part of the PTSA and student’s success at Coal Creek Canyon K-8. We understand your time is precious and valuable – that’s why we’re happy with whatever amount of time you can contribute. Whether you have a lot of time, or just a little, can work only from home, or can be at the school for events, we appreciate your contributing to our programs and projects.

To make it easy to manage your time we use the online sign up service Volunteer Spot, now called Sign Up. Please click the link below for our CCC K8 Volunteer Group page to see how you can make a difference.

Classroom Volunteers
We are always looking for classroom volunteers. Classroom volunteers allow our teachers to remain focused on their primary goal: engaging the students in the learning process. If you are able to volunteer any time during the school day, whether it is daily, weekly, monthly, or once, your support and work is very appreciated.

All classroom signups are available on Volunteer Spot. Click the link next to your child’s grade to access the signup. If you have any questions or problems, please contact Maria McVey at mcveycjam@gmail.com

Volunteering will begin in October. When the volunteer sign-ups are available, we will link to them here. Please come back in late October to sign up for individual in-classroom volunteer opportunities.
