Friends of Rachel Club Quote of the Week:

Join PTSA Today!!

We continue to have new members trickling in. Thank you for your continued commitment to us, our school and our students! You are helping us as an organization and helping us reach our goals. How about YOU?  Did you forget to join the PTSA this year?  We are significantly behind in our memberships this year, and we need your support!  Your membership makes everything we do possible: supporting our school, supporting our students, providing afterschool and enrichment opportunities and gathering input from our school family community. If you haven’t already joined for this year, please join today at

Did you know?!?  You can support our school financially JUST BY DOING YOUR NORMAL SHOPPING?!?  Pick up a King Soopers card in the school office, use it while shopping, refill it often, and a portion of your purchases will go to our school.  Do you shop at Amazon?  Switch to, designate Coal Creek Canyon K-8 PTSA as your organization, and a portion of your purchases will support our school.  (It works exactly the same, including with Prime, but donates a little, too.) To make it easy, here is the link to tie your Smile account to CCCK-8 PTSA:

Eagle Eyes is a program where men are present in the school during school hours, helping the students and staff and keeping watch for good and bad behaviors in and around the school.  You do not need to be a dad to participate: Uncles, Grandfathers, Older Brothers, Cousins, Neighbors, Dads are all welcome!  To claim your spot, go to this Sign Up form: If you have any questions about the program, please contact Jason Moat, 303-378-4500

2018 – 2019 Teacher Appreciation

Our very dear Laura Graves is resigning from her position for next year as teacher appreciation coordinator.  If you are interested in showing all of our appreciation for our teachers and staff how much we appreciate everything they do by organizing four staff meals over the year and preparing occasional gifts and special treats for them, then this is the job for you.  It doesn’t take as much time as the Special Events work, but it still VERY important.

If you or someone you know might be interested in either of these positions, please contact Jody Dickson,  Feel free to contact Laura, too, in order to get more information.

Stay tuned on our website or on our Facebook page for more information on upcoming programs. If you have any questions, comments, suggestions, concerns, please feel free to contact me.
