8/31/18 Friday Notes

Classroom Membership Challenge

Join the CCCK-8 PTSA and your child’s classroom could win an activity of their choice: Board (Games) at School, Escape Room Challenge or Video Game Competition!  The classroom with the highest percentage of memberships by Sept 28 will win!  Each child who has at least one member join on their behalf counts as one.  Teachers count as two for their homeroom classroom!  Members count for each of their students’ grades.  Your membership makes it possible for us to support classroom enrichment, innovation stations and teachers’ wish lists.  As a member, you also have a voice in how we prioritize what we are working on and how we spend our funds in a year.  For more information, contact Tami Lawson,  We appreciate your support!

Leaderboard: 8th grade remains in the lead with 6th VERY close behind!  4th and 2nd grade are TIED for third.  Don’t forget to be counted, you must become a member by September 28th.

Business Sponsors:  Do you own or work at a business that would like to advertise to our school community?  If so, consider becoming a CCCK-8 Business Sponsor.  By supporting our school, you are supporting the community that supports your business.  We have some significant fundraising goals for this year, but we have different levels of sponsorship and one of them will fit your business’ needs.  For more for information, please visit our website: or contact Jason Moat at 303-378-4500 or

Classroom Parents

We still need Classroom Parents for 6th – 8th grades.  These people are responsible for organizing classroom parties and being the liaison for the teacher to the PTSA and parent community for enrichment and volunteering.   If you can serve in this role, please contact Jacqueline Drouillard at

Teacher Appreciation

Do you like to treat others with gifts or other special treats?  We are seeking a Teacher Appreciation Coordinator.  The position is responsible for organizing two staff dinners, two staff lunches and other teacher and staff appreciation treats throughout the year.  The school staff works hard for our community kids, so we want to show them all the love they deserve!  If you are interested in helping us demonstrate to all our teachers and staff how much we appreciate everything they do, then this is the job for you.  It doesn’t take much time, but it still VERY important.  This position works well as a job-sharing opportunity, if you don’t want to do it by yourself, and community members are welcome to apply!  If you or someone you know might be interested this position, please contact Jody Dickson,

Stay tuned on our website or on our Facebook page for more information on upcoming programs. If you have any questions, comments, suggestions, concerns, please feel free to contact me.
